Oilcloth Giveaway

I realized it's been awhile since I did a giveaway here, so I think it is time!  Today I am giving away two half yard cuts of oilcloth from my personal stash for a total of 1 yard (the two prints are pictured below).  



If you've never worked with oilcloth, you are going to love it!  There are so many super-fun projects you can do with the versatile material.  Here are some examples of some great projects made with oilcloth:

    I think I would make some kind of bag or zippered travel cases ... or a wallet ... something like that. I've never even seen this kind of fabric so I think I'd have to see it and feel it before I could decide for sure. I'm very interested in it, though, having heard so many raves about it.

    I think that I would make my daughter an apron. She loves to wash dishes, but her cotton apron doesn't really keep her dry. I think I'd do us both a favor by making her one!

    what a great giveaway. I've wanted to make a shopping bag from oilcloth for ages, but I was a bit nervous about sewing with it. I went to John Lewis and lusted over some Cath Kidstone oilcloth, they said they'd send me a sample so I could try sewing it. When the sample came, it was the same pattern but in cotton! So I never bought any. :0(

    Oilcloth - I've never used it before but after reading the website's info I'm game to try it!

    I would make a tote for my grandmother's rollator/walker - she has some hardware store tool belts on it now and really needs something sturdy, personalized, and PRETTY on it instead. I'm sure she would LOVE for me to make her more than one since it may become a second purse to her with her recent knee surgery.
    Or I'd make a market tote for my fruits and veggies. How cool would that be, to have a special, durable, water resistant bag to carry to the farmer's market and back home!
