Fat Quarter Shop Giveaway: Meadow Friends Jelly Roll Fabric Giveaway


Have you heard of Fat Quarter Shop?  Of course you have! They are only one of the most awesome fabric shops online with the most amazing collection of precut fabrics around.  Did you know that they are a sponsor of The Cottage Home blog?  Well, they most certainly are and I just wanted to take a moment to share a few things from their shop before we move on to their generous giveaway.



Fat Quarter shop sells an amazing array of designer quilting cotton yardage, but they also specialize in "precut" fabrics.  If you aren't familiar with "precuts", here is what they are - they are fabrics that have been cut to a certain size and are generally bundled together in coordinating sets.  For example, charm square packs are 5" x 5" cuts of fabric sold in coordinating packs of 42 (or other number depending on the seller).  These "precut" fabrics make it super-easy to do fun patchwork projects like quilts, table runners, wall hangings, clothing, ect.  There are also several other different types of "precut" fabrics that come in other sizes - jelly rolls, layer cakes, fat quarter bundles, and fat eighth bundles.



The neat thing about Fat Quarter Shop is that they bundle a lot of their own fabrics into "precuts" that are exclusive to their shop.  Some manufacturers will sell fabrics already "precut", but at Fat Quarter Shop you can get these plus a variety of cuts not available elsewhere.

    What isn't there to like at The Fat Quarter Shop , I remember when I first found the shop on line years ago ,and Today you get the same service that you did back them. Oh and did I mention the GREAT SALES also. And when you receive your package it is packed the same great way if u spent 10.00 and or 100.00 . Love , Love, Love buying the many wonderful line,s of fabric that Kim always has available.

    I love the Fat Quarter Shop. I drool, I mean browse there often. I was given hundreds of yards of fabric recently so I can't justify buying any more right now. I've really been eyeing the Countdown to Christmas fabrics lately. I would love a jelly roll. I have a new magazine with the cutest quilt pattern that uses jelly rolls.

    I love the Delilah line, the colors are so vibrant and beautiful. I also love the Lily and Will by Bunny Hill line of fabrics. I've never tried using a jelly roll for a quilt yet, but would love to try it.

    Wow. What amazing fabric!! I live in a small western town where there is only 2 places to get fabric Wal-Mart and The Quilt Nook.     I've never been to their shop before but I'm loving it now!! I have to say that my favorite seems to be the 1930's color bundles (especially the jelly roll!). The colors are amazing and I love the simplicity of it.

    Ho-LY COW!! It's like trying to pick a your favorite page out of Borders Books. But at the moment I'm going with Mod Pod. I have a new nephew coming that would snuggle up in that nicely.

    Thanks for a fab giveaway! I would never have known that I can get yardage at Fatty Quarter Shop as well! I always struggle with paring fabric, being that I am mainly garment sewer. Seeing the bundles together with yardage is definitely a great plus for me. I foresee some shopping :)

    I love the American Banner Rose Charm pack by Moda!! I'm currently starting my 2 quilt (1st one was about 7 years ago!!) and it's a red, white and blue Americana theme!! These fabrics would be a great addition! I am now absolutely in fabric heaven...I did not know about the Fat Quarter Shop until today!! Thanks!
